Amanda is the Marketing Liaison for Platinum Benefit Services in Polk County, as well multiple surrounding counties, assisting clients in applying for Long-Term Care Medicaid. Amanda has been residing in Polk County for 7 years, where she began her career as a hospital Social Worker and is now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida. 

While born in Lakeland, Amanda grew up in Hardee County, and lived in several other Florida counties while pursing higher education. Amanda feels that Polk County feels most like home, as the community works together towards common goals to benefit everyone — especially the community that assists the local senior population.



As an LCSW, and throughout her Bachelor’s and Master’s program, Amanda’s focus has always been on serving older adults. She has witnessed family members and immediate loved ones attempt to navigate the difficult aging process, from hip and knee surgeries to skilled nursing homes to hospice. Amanda is proud to serve on the 2023 BLFS Board as the Communications Liaison, as she is able to continue to assist the Polk County senior population with navigating resources for sometimes difficult life choices in hopes that she can make someone’s aging journey a little easier.
